Classic French vintage style .
The French style, or more accurate ; the Parisian style, seems so easy, but is actually carefully planned .
The most important difference, in our experience, is that the French do not shop, much, spontaneously, au contraire ; if you need a black sweater, that is what you set out to buy, and you try each option on before making the decision . You do not, like some of us, return home with bags and bags of things ( or stuff , as the Americans call it ), that just happened to look good with your new sweater . And the French, probably, needed a new black sweater, in the first place, because the old one was worn out .
There is a lesson to be learned, but if that seems to put too much of a restraint to your raison de etre, you can shop for quality vintage items. The more you shop – for vintage – the less environmental impact your shopping makes, as the “stuff” already exist. You will, probably, even get better quality and most certainly, your own individual style .
